Homemade Cane Syrup Would Make a Unique Christmas Gift.

I came across this article while I was reading Localism content about my state of Louisiana.  Now Homemade Cane Syrup would definitely be a unique Christmas gift for all you folks far, far away or even local.  Happy holidays to all.

Happy Holidays 2009Here is the Contact information to get syrup
580-3784 Tracy or Amy.

Check out this article about a high school friend of mine (Amy Gray Baudoin) whose family harvests sugar cane and makes homemade cane syrup from it. Very different from what you get in the store and very good. One of the many nearly lost Cajun cultural experiences that I'm so glad someone is still preserving. They live in my homeland...Terrebonne Parish in southeast Louisiana (about an hour southwest of New Orleans). The article is from their local paper, The Houma Courier and the article can be found through this link. And check out some of their syrup...an unusual and unique Christmas gift!
